In 2019, for the overall scientific activity, its great importance not only for the development of science, but also for the innovative economy and the promotion of Poland as a country with great intellectual, innovative and organizational potential, our Department was awarded the title of Leader of Innovation by the Minister of Investment and Development.

In 2018, for the research work “Use of mechanical resonance in drive systems of impact working machines” Wiesław Fiebig, Assoc. Prof., current Head of our Department, was awarded the title of Leader of Innovation by the Minister of Investment and Development.

In 2020, for outstanding scientific achievments, Prof. Piotr Dudziński, current Deputy head of the Department, was awarded the Roman Sobolski Special Scientific Award.

The awards were received in years 2017-2020 for the research work in the area of the use of mechanical resonance in working machinery, especially in impact working machines and for the invention of a pneumatic resonance motor.

Awards received for the implemented invention: “Active system for improvement of dynamic stability of industrial vehicles” (which led to a 30% improvement in active rollover stability).

Award received for the invention entitled: “Tipper truck type WKPL 35/40 with a capacity of 40 tons and a hydrostatic four-wheel drive”. Invention was the result of a research project of the State Committee of Scientific Research in cooperation with companies such as LEGMET, CUPRUM, REXROTH.

Award received for participation in the development of a new generation vehicle chassis with elastomer tracks, which included hybrid drive, intelligent support rollers suspension and adaptive track tensioning system. The results were patented in Germany, United Kingdom, Italy, USA and Japan. The research took place in cooperation with companies: INTERTRACTOR, IAMT, IBAF.
